Sweet Potato Shepherds Pie

This is a pretty good recipe. Healthy too. It turned out really well I think it needs a little more flavor too it though.
And one little tid bit some people don't know and I didn't know forever sweet potatoes are not the orange ones, yams are the orange ones so even though this recipe is called sweet potato use yams...I have altered the recipe as such. Also you can pretty much use any vegetables you want I added carrots and peas.

1/2 lb yam peeled, cut into 2-inch pieces
2 Tbsp Chive and Onion Cream Cheese
1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef (I use turkey burger of course)
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 green onion, chopped
2 Tbsp balsamic vinaigrette dressing
2 tsp flour
1/4 cup water
1 cup frozen green beans

Heat oven to 375 degrees F
Microwave potatoes in small microwavable bowl on hight 4 min. or until tenter, Mash until smooth. Add cream cheese; mix well.
Brown meat with mushrooms and onions in dressing in large skillet;drain. Mix flour and water Add to meat mixture; cook 2 min. or until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in beans; spoon into baking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Cover with potato mixture.
(Makes 2 servings)
Bake 15 min or until heated through.
